WHY I WRITE

I write to share my life and the lives of those around me.
We are an invisible people. Everyone has an opinion about people with disabilities yet are accurate.
Writings about disabled people rarely show our capabilities, strengths, humor or resiliency.
Instead we are usually reduced to bland stereotypes.

I WRITE TO:

  • tell my own truth
  • share the beauty of disabled bodyminds
  • write our lives into visibility
